Wireless is a technology that can expand your network to places that were not possible a few years ago. Wireless can connect buildings at speeds from 5 Mbps to 1.25Gbps at distances from less than 1 mile to over 50 miles.
There was a time that wireless would only work if you could "see" the other antenna. This is not the case anymore as a wireless technology called OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) can now bounce the signal off of hard objects like buildings and water towers. If both locations can see the same hard object, then a stable link can usually be established.
Below is a list of the products we sell and support:
- LightPointe - LightPointe designs and manufactures high-speed outdoor wireless products for cost-effective bridging in enterprise and carrier networks. LightPointe's outdoor wireless solutions have earned high marks in Enterprise networking installations for linking two or more buildings in classic LAN-to-LAN backbone connectivity with extraordinarily high-bandwidth from 100Mbs up to 1.25 Gbps.
- Canobeam - Wireless point to point using FSO (free space optics) at speeds up to 1.25Gbps.
- Redline Communications - Wireless point to point and point to multi-point with ethernet throughput up to 48Mbps. Uses OFDM technology to achieve NLOS (non-line of sight) of several miles and LOS (line of sight) to achieve throughput of 5Mbps at up to 75 miles.
- Cisco Aironet - 802.11 technology that provides for point to point LOS (line of sight) of several miles. Also provides for wireless workgroup solutions using 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g.
- Enterasys - 802.11 technology that provides for point to point LOS (line of sight) of several miles. Also provides for wireless workgroup solutions using 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g.
